Information on Crow (Kakagi) Lake
Crow Lake is also known as Kakagi lake and is best know for big muskies ( commonly over 40 inches ) because of their diet consisting mainly of trout and whitefish. It is a deep spring fed lake with the average depth of around 70 feet, and the maximum depth of 180 feet. Crow Lake is around 114 squared kilometers in area, and is approximately 24 kilometers long and up to 11 kilometers wide, and is situated around 338 meters above the sea level. It is one of the most productive lake trout water anywhere. Due to the lakes productivity many of the fish found there reach trophy size. It is not unsusual in midsummer to see up to 100 loons feasting on the lakes suspended minnows. The Crow Lake has almost 300 small and large islands and unique pebble beaches.
