Information on Lake Dinorwic and Wabigoon Lake

Dinorwic lake has the area of about 76 squared kilometers, with a maximum depth of about 8.5 meteres and the average depth of just under 4 meters.  It is a part of a Dinorwic/Wabigoon waterway, which includes many more lakes such as Butler, Olsen, Larson and others.  It is a long and narrow lake with around 197 kilometers of shoreline,consisting of rock, clay and vegetation, and is studded with numerous islands and bays.  Dinorwic Lake is fed by Wabigoon River and several smaller streams making it great for fishing.  It is considered by many to be one of the top walleye and muskie fisheries in the country. 
Wabigoon lake has the total area of a little over 105 squared kilometers and an average depth of about 6 meters.
