Information On Lake Temagami
Lake Temagami is situated approximately 80km north of North Bay. It is an irregularly shaped lake with three long arms, a north arm, northeast arm and south west arm, as well as several smaller bays. It extends almost 50km from north to south and about 35km from east to west. There are approximately 1260 islands in Temagami lake, the largest of which is the Temagami Island and it has over 4800 kilometers of shoreline. The name Temagami means "deep water by the shore", which is true to the lakes nature, which boasts lots of areas that are 100 feet deep only 20 feet from the shore, and has a maximum depth of 363 feet.
