Rice Lake
Rice Lake is 37 kilometers long and 5 kilometers wide giving it a total water area of 185 squared kilometers. It is a very fertile lake with lots of weeds that provide cover and food source for the large fish population in the lake. It offers cruises of the lakes, rental watercrafts and houseboats, as well as over 30 golf courses with wonderful views and vistas. With a number of forests, provincial and conservation parks, the network of trails offers great hiking and cycling opportunities. There is a large number of cottage resorts, trailer parks, camp grounds, and inns on or near the lake that provide comfort and various amenities. The Rice Lake area has over 200 annual festivals and events, as well as museums, historic villages and antique shops.
