Where To Look For Carp

Carps are very weary in shallows and the deeper water most often holds the larger ones.  Fish the shallow six to twelve feet dropoffs in lakes.  They can be usually found around overhanging trees and bushes, weed beds, islands, water inlets and outlets, gravel bars, reeds and lilies.  Remember, the colder the water, the less chance of catching a Carp, as the cold water slows down their movement.
