Round Goby
Round Goby's average length is around 4 to 10 inches. It is grey with blotches of black and brown over their bodies. It is usually found in lakes Superior, Huron, and Erie.
Round Goby's are not fished, at least not intentionally, as they are an invasive species and because they are not a very prized or tasty fish. Sport fishermen have often complained that they sometimes only catch gobys while fishing for walleye or other sport fish. This is because goby's aggressively take bait from hooks. Goby's also feed on zebra muscles which are full of toxins and then are in turned eaten by popular game fish like smallmouth bass and such, thus transfering those toxins into their predators, sometimes making the fish toxic even for humans.
